April Asbury, PMHNP-BC, is a healthcare operations expert, psychiatric nurse practitioner, and the former VP of Patient Care Services at HRRMC (2017–2026). With a deep operational background in emergency medicine and behavioral health task force infrastructure , April specializes in crisis stabilization, healthcare systems engineering, and direct psychiatric clinical practice at her Salida-based firm, April Asbury PMHNP, LLC.
April is a seasoned healthcare executive and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over two decades of operational experience navigating the front lines of patient care and regional healthcare administration. A Colorado native, April built her early career in emergency medicine and clinical leadership, spending years as the Director of ER and Inpatient Services before stepping into the role of VP of Patient Care Services and Chief Nurse at Heart of the Rockies Regional Medical Center (HRRMC).
