Fireside Chats: Real Conversations, Real Connection

Our Fireside Chat series has quickly become one of our favorite recurring events and judging by the responses and the conversations that spill out in town after we’ve wrapped up, we’re not the only ones. These intimate, candid discussions bring together coworkers, entrepreneurs, creatives, civic leaders, and curious minds to talk honestly about business, growth, challenge, and opportunity in the Ark Valley. No slides. No agendas. Just people talking straight. OEDIT Happy Hour: Colorado’s Economic Future Visits Salida

We were thrilled to welcome the leadership team of the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT) for a Happy Hour at THE LOBBY — a gathering that underscored something we deeply believe: Salida is not a small town with big dreams, it is a big deal. Having state-level economic development leaders in our space, connecting with local remote workers, business owners and innovators over drinks, felt like exactly the kind of bridge-building this community deserves. These are the conversations that shape policy, attract investment, and put mountain towns like ours on the map.

First Southwest Community Fund Strategic Retreat: Planning for Purpose

THE LOBBY also had the honor of hosting the First Southwest Community Fund for their Strategic Retreat — a gathering of mission-driven leaders doing the hard, important work of thinking deeply about the future of rural Colorado communities. Having that energy and intention fill our space was a reminder of why places like THE LOBBY matter. We’re not just a coworking space or an event venue. We’re a place where the work that shapes lives gets done.

When Tim and Wendy envisioned THE LOBBY, the goal was never simply to fill desks or book event space.
