Seth Shank is a Salida native who claims to know more about coffee than himself. After a stint in competitive snowboarding Seth discovered his passion for coffee in Oregon at Case Coffee Roasters. This opened up a whole new world of roasters, brewing and servicing machines. His coffee adventures have stretched from Oregon to Maine visiting four to five coffee shops a day. Compact Coffee started as a mobile service that served weddings, events, and even a movie set before setting up a brick and mortar in town. Seth also teaches classes and provides consulting to cafes and baristas.
